Being a Volunteer in Ireland

Coming to a strange place in a strange country where they don't even speak your language is a big step. It certainly requires courage and in the beginning you might feel a bit lost. But Ardeen Cheshire Home has been keeping volunteers for many years. Everybody is used to people from foreign countries and their initial problems.

The people who are living here, people with disabilities, have interesting things to say, fabulous stories to tell and after a while, the more you get to know them, the wheelchair disappears and only the person is left. It can be very enriching to make this experience. Take your chance!
